AMSOL Board votes for feasibility study for Florida

The Board of Directors for Ave Maria School of Law met very quietly last Wednesday, with the assumption being that they would vote to have a feasibility study done for the AMU site in Florida.
The word now is that this indeed happened, and an announcement should be coming soon...
Stay tuned to Whose Amsol for complete coverage...

Translation: We're moving, now we just need to decide how and when.

Um, seems to me there was a feasibility study done before they wanted to move the college...

I don't think it ever saw the light of day...

as has been predicted.

Now the "official vote" will come this summer, while everyone is away.

I doubt they'll even read the feasbility study, or include any meaningful comments from students/alumni.

Is it possible that we could obtain the name of the company conducting the study, and have a massive write in campaign to the company, to have our feedback attached with the study?

Yep, aa, that's what happened to AMC's proposal to continue independently as Newman College. Reports were that discussion -if it can even be called that - lasted seconds, not minutes. Some, if not most, of the board members had not read the proposal before the meeting (rumor had it that some had not even seen it). Other rumors had it that some had been called beforehand for some "arm twisting," to insure that they would vote the "right way." By "report" I mean heard from someone who was there, thus the differentiation between "report" and "rumor."

And yet, I will not give in to despair, despite the depressing similarities I see. I pray for you all, in hope.

P.S.

Supposedly, a feasibility study was also done regarding AMC's move to Florida. No-one at AMC that I've asked about it ever saw it. I don't know if the board even saw it or if it actually exists.
